Pegasus Health Partnership Community Worker
Partnership Community Workers focus either on people who are not enrolled in a general practice or who are enrolled but are not visiting their general practice teams as often as they need. They focus on identifying and managing the barriers that a person/family/whānau may have in accessing health care. These barriers could be money, language, transportation, or social isolation.

Canterbury Charity Hospital
The Canterbury Charity Hospital was established by a trust in 2004 to provide free elective day surgery and medical outpatient clinics. Clients include those in our Canterbury community who can’t access these services because they don’t qualify for the public health waiting list, don’t have medical insurance and don’t have any other means of covering the cost of their treatment. The hospital also provides dentistry for WINZ clients only through referral from their dentist.
